BUTTERMILK & BOURBON - ARSENAL

When Chef Jason Santos reached out about doing another Buttermilk & Bourbon we were excited to have another crack at it. B&B2.0 is located in Arsenal Yards just outside of Boston in Watertown, MA. Our challenge was to extract all the textural details that were instrumental in making the first location such a comfortable success and then find a way to inject them into a larger space that was highly visible and offered nothing but brand new construction. “Good bones” is a term we use all the time to explain a space that has great age and character. This space had no bones. Just a concrete floor and a few oddly placed steel beams. Two years and a pandemic later, we’re pretty happy with the results.
